Introduction To The Use Of Polyethyleneimine
Nov 08, 2021
Polyethyleneimine is a water-soluble polymer. Colorless or light yellow thick liquid, hygroscopic, soluble in water, ethanol, and insoluble in benzene. The water concentration of commercial products is usually 20% to 50%.
Use:
1. High adhesion and adsorptive Amino groups can react with carboxyl groups to form hydrogen bonds. Amino groups can react with carboxyl groups to form ionic bonds. Amino groups can react with carbonyl groups to form covalent bonds. Polyethyleneimine has a structure of polar groups (amino groups) and hydrophobic groups (vinyl groups), and can be combined with different substances. Using these comprehensive binding forces, it can be widely used in adhesives, inks, coatings, adhesives and other fields.
2. High cationic polyethyleneimine exists as a polymer cation in water, can neutralize and adsorb all anionic substances, and can chelate heavy metal ions. Due to its high cationicity, it can be used in the fields of papermaking water treatment, electroplating solution and dispersant.
3. Reactive polyethyleneimine has highly reactive primary and secondary amines, so it can easily react with epoxy, acid, isocyanate compounds and acid gases. Using this feature, it can be used as epoxy resin reactant, aldehyde adsorbent and color fixing agent.
