The Practical Application Of Chemical Reagent Distillation And Rectification

Nov 06, 2021

Distillation and rectification are mainly used for liquids or chemical reagents that can be heated to become liquids, especially for the purification of organic chemical reagents. Before distillation or rectification, sometimes certain chemical reagents can be added to chemically react with impurities in the chemical reagent to be purified to produce higher (or lower) boiling point substances, which are easier to remove during distillation or rectification.

In distillation or rectification, the first distillate fraction and the last remaining fraction are often removed. The more the two ends are removed, the higher the purity of the chemical reagents obtained, but the lower the yield.
