Raw Material For The Production Of Diphenyl Phosphoric Acid
Oct 26, 2021
Diphenyl phosphate is an important pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediate. The currently reported preparation method is to use benzene as a solvent for benzene and phosphorus trichloride, aluminum trichloride as an acid agent to make phenyl phosphorus dichloride, and phenyl phosphorus dichloride to use aluminum trichloride as a catalyst for disproportionation. The reaction produces diphenyl phosphorus chloride, which is oxidized to diphenyl phosphorus oxychloride under deep cooling with oxygen, and then hydrolyzed to diphenyl phosphoric acid. However, the existing synthesis process of diphenyl phosphoric acid is highly polluting and requires high equipment performance. The total yield is only 30% and the cost is relatively high.

Diphenyl phosphoric acid is an important organophosphorus intermediate with active P-H bond. It is often used in the preparation of triphenyl phosphine oxide, alkenyl diphenyl phosphine oxide, addition with alkynes and Wittig-Horner reagents.
