Suramin sodium has been proven to have anti-trypanosomiasis, anti-tumor, ocular proliferative disease prevention, antiviral, immunomodulatory effects, and has been widely used in clinical practice. At present, there has been no report on the effect of suramin sodium on coccididia. It is not possible to infer whether suramin sodium has the effect on coccididia from its known properties. Suramin sodium salt, is a hepatitis C virus NS3 helicase inhibitor. It is also used to treat arthritis caused by collagen problems.
