Application:1-Naphthyl phosphate (disodium salt)(CAS:207569-06-0) is a histochemical substrate for acid and alkaline phosphatase. 1-naphthol is released upon hydrolyzation. By simultaneous coupling with a diazonium salt, the corresponding azo-dye is formed. Naphthols can also be detected by fluorescence analysis. 1-Naphthyl phosphate acts as a substrate for determination of prostatic acid phosphatase.
