Applications
Sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate has a variety of applications in scientific research. It has been used as a stabilizer in emulsion polymerization, as a surfactant in the preparation of colloidal dispersions, and as an emulsifier in the preparation of liposomes and microemulsions. Sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate has also been used in the preparation of nanoparticles and nanocapsules. In addition, Sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate has been used to prepare biodegradable polymers, biocompatible hydrogels, and antifungal films.
