Application:Butyl glycolate(CAS:7397-62-8) is mainly used as a leveling agent in nitrocellulose paint and metallic paint to improve the fluidity of paint. Used as anti-whitening agent in cellulose acetate and alkyd resin coatings, suitable for high relative humidity environments. Used as an anti-wrinkle agent in alkyd resin paints. Can also be used in inks and vinyl acetate emulsions. It is also an intermediate of the anticancer drug isohalpine.
