Application:Landiolol hydrochloride (ONO-1101) is a highly cardioselective, short-acting adrenergic β1-selective antagonist (blocker). Landiolol reduces heart rate by selectively blocking β1 receptors located chiefly in the heart. It is reported that landiolol has 8-fold greater cardioselectivity than esmolol [E1106] in vitro. Landiolol is a short-acting agent since the ester group of landiolol is rapidly hydrolyzed to an inactivate metabolite by esterases in plasma and liver. Landiolol hydrochloride is used for the treatment of tachyarrhythmia and better control of heart rate in surgery. (The product is for research purpose only.)
