2, 4-dichloro-5-methoxyaniline is mainly used to prepare the intermediate of Besutinib,4- [(2, 4-dichloro-5-methoxyphenyl) amino] -6-methoxy-7 -(3-chloropropoxy) -3-quinoline methonitrile. bosutinib, developed by WyethPharmaceuticals of the United States, was approved as an "orphan drug" in the European Union in 2010 for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukaemia (CML). On September 4, 2012, the drug was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the trade name Bosulif. The European Food and Drug Authority (EMA) approved it on March 27, 2013, and the Japanese PMDA approved it on September 26, 2014.
