Applications
Tris(2-hydroxyethyl) Isocyanurate(CAS:839-90-7) has been used in a variety of scientific research applications. It has been used as a stabilizer for proteins, enzymes, and other biomolecules, and as a preservative in cell cultures. It has also been used to study the effects of oxidative stress on cells and tissues, and to study the effects of ultraviolet radiation on skin cells.
Used as a heat stabilizer for rigid polyvinyl chloride and other halogenated polymers.
Also used for wire enamels or insulating varnishes.
